What to expect when you receive the iStraight Keratin Smoothing Treatment?

1. Shampoo with innosys Clarifying Shampoo 2 to 3 times and rinse thoroughly.
2. Option: For straighter results against strong curls and resistant hair types, innosys Power Boost can be used as a cuticle opener before applying iStraight Keratin. Simply spray innosys Power Boost evenly throughout damp hair wait 10 minutes to allow innosys Power Boost to activate then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Power Boost contains high molecular weight hydrolyzed protein, collagen protein and natural amino acids to safely allow the treatment to permeate faster without damaging the hair).
3. Blow dry 50% – 70%. A little moisture in the hair will help distribute the product evenly.
4. Section the hair into 4 parts, and then apply iStraight Keratin in ¼ inch sections starting from the nape. (Shake the bottle well before use and apply with gloves. Do not touch the scalp & Don’t over saturate. On average you will use 2 oz per customer. Depending on the volume of the clients’ hair you may use up to 3 oz. Apply appropriate amount according to the condition, porosity, and density of the hair. Apply at least ¼ inch away from the scalp. Comb through each section to remove any excess solution on the hair. Excess solution may leave the hair feeling heavy or oily. (Tip: Apply ½ inch away from the scalp for extra volume).
5. Wait 10 minutes to allow iStraight Keratin to penetrate. Do not use any heat or cap the hair during the 10 minutes.
6. Blow dry 100% using a paddle, ceramic or plastic roll brush. Avoid using boar bristle brushes which can strip the keratin. There is no need to rinse.
7. Flat iron the hair in ¼ inch to ½ inch sections depending on the thickness of the hair. Using a professional flat iron with temperature: 430-450°F (virgin, resistant hair), Or 400-430°F (Color, tint, chemically touched hair), Or 380-410°F (bleach, highlighted hair). *** Note: Iron hair 4 to 7 times per section depending on the condition of the hair.
8. Style and complete. There is no need to rinse. Please inform your client the following client instructions.

 

Client Instructions

After iStraight Keratin Smoothing Treatment,

1. Advise your client to keep the hair dry for 24-48 hours.
   Tip: No hats, no scrunchies, and no ponytails during this period. Use a flat iron or blow dryer to fix any bends in the morning. Even after the first 48 hours we recommend that you avoid swimming in the ocean or chlorinated pools to prolong the longevity of the treatment. If swimming is necessary, please rinse thoroughly with fresh water as soon as you can.
2. We recommend using the specially formulated Kera Shampoo and Kera Conditioner to prolong the effects of innosys iStraight Keratin (Advanced Brazilian Keratin) Treatment.
